Summer is just around the corner, and with it comes warmer weather and longer days. While there are many ways to enjoy the summer season, there's one thing that every coffee lover should have on their list: cold brew coffee. Whether you're heading to the beach, lounging in your backyard, or just trying to beat the heat, cold brew coffee is the perfect way to stay caffeinated and refreshed. In this blog, we'll explore everything you need to know about making cold brew coffee at home, from choosing the right beans to steeping the perfect brew. So, grab a glass of iced coffee and let's get started!

ngredients:

  • 1 cup coarsely ground coffee beans
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Optional: sweetener, milk or cream

Instructions:

  1. Start by measuring out 1 cup of coarsely ground coffee beans. You can use any coffee beans you like, but a medium or dark roast works best for cold brew.

  2. In a large jar or container, mix together the coffee grounds and 4 cups of cold water. Stir well to ensure all the coffee grounds are fully saturated.

  3. Cover the jar or container with a lid or plastic wrap and let it sit at room temperature for 12-24 hours. The longer you let it steep, the stronger the coffee will be.

  4. After the coffee has steeped for the desired amount of time, strain it through a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a separate container. This will remove any coffee grounds and leave you with a smooth, delicious cold brew coffee concentrate.

  5. To serve, fill a glass with ice and pour in your desired amount of cold brew concentrate. If you prefer your coffee sweetened, you can add sugar or simple syrup at this point. Add milk or cream to taste and enjoy!

  6. Store any leftover cold brew concentrate in the refrigerator for up to a week. To make another serving, simply mix equal parts concentrate and water or milk.

That's it! Making cold brew coffee at home is easy and delicious. Give it a try and see how it compares to your favorite coffee shop's version.
